Newgale Beach is a drive (or cycle) away from the Carreg Las and is famous for is sheer size. The beach is 2-miles of sand and pebbles making it perfect for days out or evening strolls.
Kite-surfing and surfing are popular on this beach and tuition is available.
Walk down to the southern end to find and explore a walk – through cave and numerous sheltered bays. Cross the river at the back of the pebble bank opposite the café at the north end to gain access to several low tide bays.
St Davids Peninsula has some of the most magnificent coastal scenery in Pembrokeshire. This is the heart of The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the coast path walking is delightful. The smallest city in the UK is abundant with good places to eat, boat trips to Skomer & Ramsey island.

While staying at Carreg Las, you will notice at dawn and dusk there is an active bat population. It is a rare sighting to see these mammals move around whether they are heading out for the evening or coming back to roost in the mornings. Make sure to bring some binoculars and to consciously keep doors and windows closed during dusk so you don’t end up with a little lodger.
