Fairfield is a traditional stone terrace cottage, dating back to the 1840’s and is believed to have once been a sea captain’s cottage, reputedly built with stones from the Abbey nearby. Set on the hillside above the village of St Dogmaels, overlooking the ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey, the cottage offers wonderful views out over the small town to the beautiful Teifi estuary and the sea. Renovated throughout to a high standard yet retaining original features with slate and wooden floors and sash windows. There are two cosy sitting rooms, both with a wood burning stove for those chillier evenings and a modern fitted kitchen/diner leading to the rear where gated steep steps lead up to the terraced garden. The top grassed area is worth the climb; the views are breathtaking over the valley and estuary. Comfortably furnished with traditional pieces, the bedrooms are delightful, with the rooms to the front offering lovely views over the estuary and towards the Abbey ruins. A wonderful characterful holiday cottage, ideal for couples or families, whatever the season.
