As proud and loving dog owners ourselves, we understand that finding suitable places to holiday in the UK is not always as straight forward as it should be. In this blog we hope to convince you that there is no better place to holiday with your four-legged friend than the glorious county of Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
We finally settled in Pembrokeshire due to its beautiful countryside and breath-takingly stunning coastline – not just for us to enjoy, but the dogs too and we have never looked back.
You will find Pembrokeshire at the most westerly tip of south Wales, mostly surrounded by sea but also bordering Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire. Pembrokeshire boasts 186 miles of coastal path to explore just for starters! And as if that wasn’t enough, you then have over 50, yes 50! dog friendly beaches to discover. So, although we may be ever so slightly biased, we believe Pembrokeshire is the perfect place to holiday with your pet.
Planning to visit in the summer months? It is handy to know that between 1st May to end of September, some of the most popular beaches in Pembrokeshire have dog restricted areas. For a detailed list and maps of these restrictions, take a look here, or for a little more information on our dog-friendly beaches and even some recommended walks around the county, click here.
Now you know you can bring your pet to Pembrokeshire; you’ll all need somewhere fantastic to stay and we can definitely help you with that. We have loads of property’s that welcome dogs all over Pembrokeshire – and best of all, we never charge you any extra to bring them along! All we ask is that your pet is never left unattended in your holiday property at any time.
